How to Get a California IP Address on PIA?

PIA doesn’t specify how many California IPs it has. But here’s how you can connect to either California location:

  1. Install PIA on your preferred device and log in.

  1. Go to “Region Selection” and choose “US California” or “US Silicon Valley” from the list.
  1. Click on either PIA California VPN server and wait 1-3 seconds until the VPN connection is established.
  1. Check with ipleak.net to make sure you have the IP address from California.
  1. That’s it! You now have a California IP address, thanks to PIA!

Can You Get a PIA California Dedicated IP?

Here’s how you can get it:

  1. Get a PIA subscription and add the Dedicated IP add-on at the checkout. You must pay with a credit/debit card or PayPal to get the PIA Dedicated IP.
  1. After completing the purchase and activating your account, log in, grab the Dedicated IP token, and go to “Dedicated IP.”

Port forwarding is unavailable on any US PIA servers, including its California servers (Los Angeles and Silicon Valley). You can view the PIA locations that support port forwarding by toggling “Request Port Forwarding” in the settings and browsing “Region Selection.”

You can use PIA’s California servers as your first location in the Multihop. 

However, you’ll need to use another server location as your second. 

For example, you can use US Seattle, US West, US Texas, or US East.
