Finding the perfect VPN for Hulu is challenging – but after spending 5+ years working in the VPN industry, I discovered a simple solution: ExpressVPN.
If you’re struggling through the same journey, it ends here!
Don’t sweat the hard stuff because now I’m offering you a shortcut.
Today, I’ll guide you in how to stream Hulu with ExpressVPN!
Pricing | 12 Months – $8.32 per month ($99.95 total) |
Discount | 49% (3 months free) |
Streaming Speed | 99% of original speed (see results below) |
Streaming Quality | 4K Quality |

Can You Even Watch Hulu With ExpressVPN?
In my experience, ExpressVPN is one of the best streaming VPN providers.
Why?
To start, with an ExpressVPN account, you can watch all of your favorite shows on Hulu, Netflix, BBC iPlayer, and more!
They also have more than 3,000 servers, with plenty spread across the US. This is very important, as you’ll need to log into Hulu with a US IP address.
This is because websites and online platforms use IP addresses to see which country you’re in, and Hulu is only available in the US.
You can’t just use any US server, though.
Sometimes you need to try a few before finding one that works with Hulu, as they often block IP addresses belonging to VPN services.
Fortunately, ExpressVPN also offers some of the best VPN connection speeds I’ve ever seen, so you’ll still be able to watch Hulu in 4K quality without any issues (if your regular internet can handle 4K, at least).
If you’re skeptical, you can even test your internet speed to verify you’re connected to the fastest streaming server available!

3 Easy Steps to Watch Hulu With ExpressVPN
It’s simple to use ExpressVPN to watch Hulu from anywhere in the world – even if you’re unfamiliar with VPNs.
Keep reading, because I’m going to walk you through the process in 3 easy steps!
Step 1: Get ExpressVPN
First, order an ExpressVPN plan.
You can choose if you want to pay monthly, every 6 months, or yearly. Even though it’s more expensive to order the longer subscription plans, it works out to be as much as 35% cheaper in the long run!
Next, enter your email address and choose how to pay.
ExpressVPN accepts credit cards, PayPal, and even Bitcoin. Just pick the option that works best for you and follow the steps to make your payment.
Once you’re done, download and install the ExpressVPN app on your preferred device.
You can install it on as many devices as you like – even your smartphone. Just remember you can only log into ExpressVPN on 5 devices at the same time!
Don’t forget to copy the activation code!
You’ll need it soon.
Step 2: Sign Into ExpressVPN
When the app is finished downloading, open it and login.
You’ll be asked for your ExpressVPN activation code, so go ahead and paste it in before clicking or tapping “continue.”
Next, you’ll see a big power button with the words “Not Connected” underneath it.
You can click the power button to let ExpressVPN automatically connect you to the best available server.
They call this the “Smart Location” because it offers the best connection based on where you’re currently located.
However, if you want to watch Hulu, you need to tap the 3 dots next to the “Smart Location” box. This lets you see all of their servers.
You can use the search bar to quickly find the US servers and pick one.
Moving on, if you click on the red power button now, it’ll turn green. This means you’re connected!
Step 3: Sign Into Hulu
All that’s left to do now is log into your Hulu account, find a show or movie, and start streaming!
Uh-oh! Something’s Wrong…
Just because it’s easy to watch Hulu with ExpressVPN, doesn’t mean you won’t run into some problems along the way.
Don’t worry – I’ll show you how I deal with them right now!
1. I Can’t Sign Up for Hulu
It’s very easy to sign up for Hulu… until they won’t accept your payment.
This happens when you’re trying to use a credit card from another country. Remember – Hulu is only available in the US!
I found using PayPal instead is the best way to get rid of this problem. Other options include Google Pay or a Hulu gift card.
As a last resort, you might also consider reaching out to a friend in the US, sending them money, and having them pay for you.
2. Hulu is Blocking ExpressVPN
This is a very common problem.
After all, Hulu’s VPN ban is even tougher than Netflix’s. So even though I find ExpressVPN to be one of the best VPNs, not all of their US servers will work with Hulu.
The best thing to do here is close Hulu (and your browser) and then connect to a different ExpressVPN server. Log back into Hulu and try again.
If you’ve already tried 3 servers and Hulu is still blocking you, then you’ll need to contact ExpressVPN.
The VPN provider offers live chat support 24/7, so if you tell them you’re struggling to watch Hulu, they’ll tell you which server to try next!
Ready? Set? Stream Hulu With ExpressVPN!
As much as it sucks, you really do need a VPN to watch Hulu from outside the US. And it needs to be one of the best – which, for me, means ExpressVPN.
They have many servers with great speeds, their support is always happy to help, and you can get great deals by choosing a longer subscription plan.
And if that’s not enough to convince you, they also recently rebranded their entire company – so you know they’re on top of things!
So what are you waiting for? Get ExpressVPN and start watching Hulu today!
