PureVPN accepts gift cards via a third-party payment processor, Payment Wall. However, its customer support staff mentioned that the provider doesn’t directly accept gift cards.
Likewise, PureVPN doesn’t accept gift card payments in all regions since Payment Wall accessibility is limited. In contrast, users in some Payment Wall-supported regions may not get gift card options either.
Let’s discuss how to pay for PureVPN with gift cards, discover what gift cards it accepts, and everything else.
How to Pay for PureVPN Using Gift Cards?
The Payment Wall option is the most straightforward way to pay for PureVPN using gift cards. However, this may sometimes be unavailable in your region.
Hence, the Google Pay alternative.
Learn more about both below.
Method 1: Payment Wall
Unlike providers like Surfshark, which only officially support gift card payments on mobile, PureVPN allows you to use gift card payments on any device.
Here’s what to do:
- Go to the PureVPN website. Grab these HUGE deals to save a ton on your subscription.
- Click “Get this deal.”

- Click any of the VPN’s pricing plans. I recommend the 24-month plan, which grants you extra 3 months for free for the best savings.

- Choose a payment method. For gift card payments, select the alternative payment method indicated in the screenshot below.

- Enter your preferred signup email and password, then click “Pay with Payment Wall.”
- Choose your preferred gift card payment option.

- Follow the rest of the on-screen prompts to complete your payment.
Thus, you may follow these steps correctly and not get any gift card options or see different gift cards than mine.
Method 2: Google Pay
This Google Pay workaround allows users in more regions (than Payment Wall allows) to buy PureVPN using gift cards. Here’s what to do:
- Get a Google Play gift card.
- Redeem the card to your Google Pay account. Watch the video below if you need help.
- Follow steps 1-4 from above. Remember to save more with my PureVPN discounts.
- Click “G Pay.”

- Enter your signup email and set a password. Then, click “Buy with G Pay.”

- Log in to the Google account associated with the G Pay account you redeemed the gift card to (from step 2).

- Follow the rest of the on-screen instructions to complete the payment.
Can You Get Refunded for PureVPN Gift Card Payments?
You can get refunded for PureVPN gift card purchases via Google Pay.
This is because you didn’t redeem the gift card directly on the PureVPN website but loaded your Google Pay account with the gift card amount.
Thus, your refund is credited to the associated G Pay account.
However, PureVPN won’t refund gift card payments made via Payment Wall.
In this case, an actual gift card was used, and their single-use nature means they can’t be restored in value once used.
So, ensure you’re okay with the VPN provider before going the Payment Wall route. Alternatively, explore the Google Pay method to have a backup.
Leave No Financial Trails
Buying PureVPN with a gift card ensures it doesn’t appear in your financial history. However, this is only possible with the Payment Wall method since G Pay records the purchase.
Still, snoops and authorities can’t scour your traditional financial institution data to find any traces of VPN payment when you choose either method.
