For starters, its obfuscated servers are built for exactly the situation you’ll face in Egypt: ISPs like TE Data and Egynet that block VPN traffic outright.

Obfuscation disguises your VPN traffic as ordinary HTTPS traffic, so the Egyptian government and your ISP can’t see that you’re using a VPN – let alone that you’re calling home on WhatsApp or reading a blacklisted news site.

Second place goes to Surfshark – and if calling home on WhatsApp or FaceTime is the reason you need a VPN in Egypt, it’s the one I’d pick after NordVPN.

The trouble with Egypt’s VoIP ban (more on that below) isn’t just that the apps are blocked – the networks you’ll be using are hostile to VPN connections, too.

ExpressVPN is the most convenient VPN on this list for Egypt, even if NordVPN and Surfshark give you more for your money.

Its trump card: all of its servers offer automatic obfuscation!

Unlike NordVPN (which requires its obfuscation feature to be manually enabled), ExpressVPN automatically obfuscates all of its servers, including the one in Egypt – so there’s nothing to set up before you land.

In other words, there’s no worry that the Egyptian government will see you using a VPN to access blocked VoIP services like WhatsApp – or other blacklisted platforms (like porn or political news sites)!

What earns CyberGhost its spot on my list of the most trustworthy VPNs for Egypt is its 40 Egyptian servers!

And there are so many reasons why you might need an Egyptian server.

For example, suppose you’re overseas and trying to catch up on local Egyptian news via Nile TV International or stream your favorite shows via WAVO.
