5 Best VPNs for Mexico: Mexican IP + Fast Streaming

After testing 21+ VPN providers for three weeks (and a combined 120+ hours), I found that NordVPN is the best VPN for Mexico. This VPN provider offers Mexican servers to unblock local content from home and abroad, global servers to access content anywhere, and reliable encryption that anonymizes you from the cartel.

During my tests, I also found that Surfshark, CyberGhost, PureVPN, and PrivateVPN are worthy alternative VPNs for Mexico.

But I didn’t just pick the first few VPNs that caught my fancy.

So, in the rest of this guide, I discuss my tests and comparisons of these VPNs to help you make the best choice.

I liked being in Mexico because there aren’t serious anti-torrenting laws, internet restrictions, or other geo-blocks that are common in most countries I’ve been to. However, it didn’t take long to discover that the cartel monitors online activity and doesn’t hesitate to torture or kill people for posting anything that might look directed at them.

So, suppose you’re a blogger, news journalist, or run other online outfits and want to stay anonymous in Mexico. In that case, you need a reliable VPN by your side.

Even if your name and face are out there, you’ll need a reliable VPN to encrypt your communications with sources and other sensitive resources.

Likewise, Mexico isn’t immune to its own share of geo-restrictions.

After all, I couldn’t stream anything on BBC iPlayer, Voot, NRK TV, and France TV while in the country. When I switched to any of these VPNs I recommend for the region, I could.

On top of that is the Ley Telecom internet reform bill in Mexico, which shows how far the government is willing to go to regulate the internet.

This bill allows telcos to collect sensitive data about your online activity and keep it for 24 months. The collected data must also be presented to any court or authority within 48 hours of the request.

Likewise, the bill was going to empower telcos to block web content.

Even though it wasn’t passed as it was, Telmex has once blocked access to the Tor network. Some bodies have even obtained court orders to ban certain websites, like the BA’K case.

Finally, it should be remembered that Mexican ISPs once wanted to implement a “fast lane” service where users paid higher to get even faster internet on the same base plan.

That provision was blocked, but it shows Mexican ISPs throttle the internet.

Thus, I also chose VPNs that are optimized for speed and can bypass ISP throttling.

So, if you’re ready to enjoy the free internet anonymously and get faster download speeds, try my top VPNs today.

Stay Anonymous Online, Bypass ISP Throttling, and Ensure Online Privacy With My Top Mexico VPNs

You need a VPN with Mexican servers to watch Azteca abroad

You don’t have to start looking over your shoulder once you post critical comments online or endanger your journalistic sources when obtaining information.

Likewise, you can now access content from all over the world without traveling out of Mexico.

All you must do is try one of these VPNs:

  • NordVPN – 10+ servers in Mexico, reliable encryption for sustained anonymity, and fast speeds over 5500+ servers globally.
  • Surfshark – Affordable VPN with a great monetary value offering unlimited simultaneous connections with unlimited bandwidth.
  • CyberGhost – Massive 9000+ server library to connect to gaming peers globally, download torrents securely and stream content fast!
  • PureVPN – Next-gen quantum-resistant servers layered over AES 256-bit encryption for top-level protection against live data hacking or tracking in Mexico and beyond.
  • PrivateVPN – Free Dedicated IP addresses, Mexican IP addresses, and global servers to reliably unblock content anywhere and regain your digital privacy.

My top 5 VPNs excel in different departments, which is why they’re all unique for Mexico. But it’ll be overkill to get all of them when you may only need one or two.

So, keep reading to find details of my tests and comparisons that’ll help you make the best choice.

Detailed Reviews and Comparisons of My Best VPNs for Mexico

These VPNs performed better than the others I tested on speed, device compatibility, online privacy, internet data security, server spread, and other unique features.

Even so, they do specific things better than one another.

Let’s discuss where each VPN provider stands out or falls apart compared to the rest.

NordVPN – 10+ Mexican Servers & 5500+ Global Servers for Reliable Unblocking

nordvpn azteca
NordVPN unblocks TV Azteca from Mexico servers

NordVPN is the most impressive VPN I used in Mexico, starting with 10+ servers in Mexico City. This is less than the Mexican servers on CyberGhost but enough to get the job done, and I’ll show you that in a minute.

But why do you need Mexican servers when you’re in Mexico? Here are a few reasons:

  • To encrypt your local connection via a VPN without losing access to local content like Television
  • To bypass ISP throttling from Telmex and other providers when gaming or downloading content
  • To get the least ping for gaming with all the benefits of NordVPN, such as DDoS protection and encryption

Mexicans outside the country and online users who love Mexican content can also connect to these servers to unblock Mexican streaming sites and other online platforms.

For example, I unblocked the live shows on Azteca over NordVPN’s Mexico servers, even though I wouldn’t have had access from anywhere else.

nordvpn mexico servers
NordVPN's servers in Mexico City, Mexico

In fact, once I left the country, I kept up with episodes of reality shows like Exathlon, Master Chef Celebrity, and Survivor, which I’d fallen in love with on Azteca.

Fortunately, these Mexican servers aren’t all you get with NordVPN.

The VPN provider still hosts a massive library of 5500+ servers in 59 countries to unblock any content globally.

However, NordVPN offers the least country count on my list.

This was a hassle when I wanted to watch some live news on Kazakh TV, a region where it doesn’t have servers.

available location servers on nordvpn

But it covers enough major countries to bypass geo-restrictions to content like

The best part is that you can also unblock specific libraries on available content in Mexico.

For example, Mexican Netflix is different from US Netflix, which I could unblock from Mexico by connecting to NordVPN’s US servers.

I even streamed some Japanese anime by connecting to its Japanese servers. I highly recommend that!

Fortunately, NordVPN doesn’t just unblock content, but it’s also fast.

nordvpn speed test results with canada server

I tested NordVPN over a 45Mbps connection on my Telmex connection and averaged 33Mbps. This wasn’t the fastest speed I got from all my other VPN tests, but it isn’t the slowest, either.

And knowing that I only need 25Mbps for sustained 4K streams, NordVPN is capable of crisp and clear content streams without buffering!

But using a VPN in Mexico might not be all for the fun of it.

So, I turned to how NordVPN’s security performed in the region.

My initial checks were on the encryption to ensure I wasn’t leaking any IP/DNS requests. I tested the Mexican server and a few others, and NordVPN’s AES 256-bit encryption held up. I also confirmed that I wasn’t only getting a Mexican IP address because I was in Mexico but also from the VPN-assigned Mexican IP address. Check!

nordvpn dns leak test results

This robust encryption ensures that your internet activities are hidden from the government, ISPs, cartel groups, and other interested parties.

In fact, you can always connect to a NordVPN server to run an anonymous blog and never get found out.

The best part is that this encryption is available on all NordVPN’s protocols, including the recommended NordLynx, for the best speeds and privacy.

locating nordlynx protocol on nordvpn

Fortunately, that’s not all encryption is good for.

Given the cybercrime rampage in Mexico City and elsewhere today, I’m always wary of connecting to the free Wi-Fi at Kenyo’s, Cinemex, or Starbucks Xola. After all, I know these hackers and scammers may be around to inject my device with malware, collect my sensitive login details or hijack my conversations over the unsecured network.

All that changed when I got NordVPN. Now, I can connect to any NordVPN to browse public Wi-Fi networks with reliable encryption that hides my internet activity from hackers and the network admin.

nordvpn wifi connection settings

Even better is NordVPN’s automatic Wi-Fi protection feature that kicks into action whenever I connect to an untrusted Wi-Fi network.

Only CyberGhost and Surfshark offer the same, as I’m always left to connect manually to the others before using these public Wi-Fi networks.

I also observed that Mexico City is treated the same as most American locations regarding ads. It got worse when I tried downloading some files off The Pirate Bay with ads messing up the entire experience.

Fortunately, NordVPN features an ad-blocker (called Threat Protection) that blocks 96% of the ads!!!

nordvpn adblocker tester

Besides NordVPN, only CyberGhost and Surfshark provide such ad-blocking tech, and they didn’t come close to this amazing performance.

Knowing that ads can also be used to deanonymize you on the web, it’s important to have such a security tool in your arsenal.

Lest I forget, NordVPN allows you to enjoy these premium features on six devices simultaneously connected to the same account.

So, you can ensure better online protection, reliable unblocking, and digital privacy for your family, travel group, journalist friends, or other preferred groups.

Likewise, it’s an affordable VPN provider, even though it’s the priciest one I reviewed here.

I added these NordVPN discounts to help you save more on your preferred plan.

Surfshark – Unlimited Simultaneous Connections With an Affordable, Secure VPN

streaming la estrellas with surfshark on mexico server
Surfshark unblocks La Estrellas over its Mexican servers

Surfshark doesn’t state how many servers it has in Mexico, but that’s not a problem since it has a Mexico server to start with.

But there’s a difference here:

Surfshark uses a virtual server in Mexico instead of a physical server.

This means that the server can generate a Mexico IP address but isn’t placed in Mexico. These virtual servers are great for

  • Ensuring faster speeds by placing the virtual server in a faster country (like the US) with better internet infrastructure
  • Ensuring better security by keeping the servers away from governments that may want to seize it
surfshark virtual mexico server
Virtual server in Mexico

Even so, virtual servers are sometimes unreliable for unblocking content.

So, I tested this one and had ZERO issues watching multiple shows, live content, and series on La Estrella.

I took the tests on this virtual server further by checking for IP/DNS leaks.

And as you can see below, Surfshark’s reliable encryption on this server means I got its Mexican IP address back.

Thus, my internet activity is hidden from the cartel groups, Telmex (or your preferred ISP), and the government.

surfshark dns leak test 2

With such peace of mind on its virtual servers, I knew its physical servers would be splendid too. Luckily, Surfshark has 3200+ more servers in 99 countries.

This shows fewer servers than NordVPN offers, and it’s even the second least server count on this list. But with a span of 99 countries, Surfshark is the best chance to unblock content from almost anywhere!

I wasn’t going to take this at face value, though.

So, I connected to some Surfshark servers to

Like I did with NordVPN, I also checked if I could get specific content libraries of platforms already available in Mexico, like Netflix.

Luckily, Surfshark’s US servers unblocked the Netflix US and Amazon Prime Video US libraries, giving me access to exclusive content I wouldn’t have seen otherwise.

surfshark speed test results with canada server

During these tests, Surfshark returned great images and never buffered.

So, getting 39Mbps via this VPN wasn’t surprising; the fastest of all the listed providers.

I already tested Surfshark’s encryption (above) when I was skeptical of the virtual servers. What I didn’t mention then, though, is how Surfshark’s encryption also guarantees public Wi-Fi protection.

To buttress this point is an automatic public Wi-Fi protection feature in its mobile and PC apps like NordVPN offers.

your trusted wifi networks on surfshark settings

So, you’ll never have to scramble to manually enable extra internet traffic protection whenever your device automatically picks up a free Wi-Fi network.

Now, those hackers in Cancun, Mexico City, and other hotbeds will have to deal with Surfshark’s robust security systems if they ever try to attack your live traffic again!

It also provides a kill switch mechanism to prevent IP/DNS leaks if the VPN connection drops. Unlike NordVPN (and the other VPNs), Surfshark includes a kill switch setting in its iOS app. The others state that it’s automatically enabled whenever you connect to any server.

locating kill switch on surfshark while on kazakhstan server

Moving on, Surfshark boosts that service with an ad blocker of its own called CleanWeb. While CleanWeb also does a better job of preventing some ads from loading, it’s nowhere near what NordVPN offers.

Still, it’s better than nothing (like with PureVPN and PrivateVPN) and the lowly scores CyberGhost manages.

surfshark canada adblock

Now to the best part:

You can enjoy everything I just discussed under Surfshark on unlimited devices without paying more than the standard subscription costs.

And that comes with unlimited bandwidth, covering your PCs, mobile phones, and other internet-enabled devices.

It gets better: Surfshark is very affordable. In fact, it’s the second cheapest VPN I reviewed, only behind PureVPN.

But that doesn’t stop you from grabbing these Surfshark discounts to test the VPN risk-free for 30 days.

CyberGhost – 50+ Mexico Servers + 9000+ Global Servers for Torrenting & Unblocking

cyberghost canal5
CyberGhost unblocks Canal5 over Mexican servers

CyberGhost offers the biggest library of Mexican servers, with 50+ of these in the country. However, I expected that some of these servers would be outside Mexico City since that’s where the other VPNs also have theirs.

But this isn’t the case.

However, unlike Surfshark’s Mexico servers, CyberGhost uses physical servers in the region, and they’re all P2P-enabled!

I started by testing these Mexico servers to ensure they’re properly encrypted. My tests show that I was getting the Mexican IP address back rather than the one assigned to me by Telmex. Thus, my ISP or anyone outside the network can’t see what I’m doing.

cyberghost dns leak test results

This also makes it impossible for Telmex or other ISPs to collect my internet data which they can sell to advertisers or share with the government within a 24-month window. Best of all, Telmex can’t restrict my access to websites it may have blocked since I’m no longer using its IP address.

Speaking of website unblocking, I continued streaming Televisia content from outside Mexico after leaving the beautiful country.

All I do is connect to a Mexico server again, using the WireGuard (fastest) or IKEv2 protocols on CyberGhost, and I’m good to go.

This will come in handy for Mexican students, expats, and travelers in other countries who want to retain access to local Mexican news, shows, series and content. In line with this, I checked how CyberGhost performs with unblocking content elsewhere.

cyberghost server locations iran

Boasting 9000+ servers in 90+ countries, I knew this was one of the best VPN providers to access anything anywhere. In comparison, only Surfshark offers more countries than CyberGhost, and no other provider here gives more servers.

So, fewer chances of overcrowding on those servers.

Even so, I tested it for myself on my favorite streaming apps and got

One of the things I liked the most about CyberGhost is its choice of streaming-optimized servers. Since it states which apps and services these servers are optimized for, you can unblock geo-restricted content faster without lag.

for streaming servers on cyberghost
Some streaming optimized servers

Fortunately, CyberGhost isn’t only fast for streaming on these optimized servers. I tested the regular servers and got 37Mbps speeds, the second-best on this list after Surfshark. So, I’m confident of getting 4K streams on the regular servers too.

cyberghost speed test results with canada server

Something else I like about CyberGhost is its public Wi-Fi protection, allowing the encryption to spill over into keeping you safe when you’re out and about.

I remember testing this feature at Stilo (Salon & Nails), Sanborns Carso Alameda, and Ben & Frank. Every time my device picks up their Wi-Fi connection, CyberGhost encrypts my web traffic before it allows my device to transmit at all.

Otherwise, I might have been found out when checking my account balance to know how much more I could afford to spend on the trip.

Like NordVPN and Surfshark, CyberGhost also has an ad blocker called Block Content. I tested it when my host torrented a game update on The Pirate Bay over the torrent-optimized server in Mexico.

cyberghost privacy settings while on adblock tester

However, it didn’t block as many ads as Surfshark and NordVPN did. Further tests revealed that it let more than half of all ads through.

But that’s better than getting all the ads, and we didn’t have a much aggressive ad experience compared to when it wasn’t enabled.

So, a half loaf is better than none here, considering providers like PureVPN and PrivateVPN without an ad blocker.

Fortunately, CyberGhost is more affordable than NordVPN and allows for one extra simultaneous device connection. This offering covers the same PCs, mobile devices, and routers as my other VPNs. Thus, you’re not missing out on any device support.

On top of that, you get to test CyberGhost risk-free for 45 days to see if it’s the right choice. That makes it the longest risk-free trial provider I listed.

Get these CyberGhost deals and enjoy the 45-day money-back guarantee too.

PureVPN – 6 Mexico Servers & 6500+ Global Servers for Reliable Encryption

purevpn football

PureVPN may only have six servers in Mexico, but that’s enough to

  • Get a Mexico IP address from anywhere
  • Unblock content in Mexico from abroad
  • Encrypt connections in Mexico without losing access to local content

As always, I tested this server to ensure I wasn’t just taking PureVPN’s promise at face value. So, I tried to watch some La Liga MX game highlights via Azteca Sports and didn’t have any issues.

I got the best result on the WireGuard protocol, which was fast enough to ensure 27Mbps speeds on my 45Mbps internet connection.

That is lower than NordVPN manages, but it’s high enough for 4K streams on paper.

purevpn speed test results while on canada server

Still, I could only sustain HD streams with this PureVPN speed.

Not bad, but it could be better.

On top of that, I tested that the Mexico servers weren’t leaking my IP address or any DNS requests. Fortunately, I was always getting the PureVPN-assigned IP address via leak tests rather than my actual IP address.

This would be preferred by anonymous bloggers, journalists, and whistleblowers who don’t want to get on the wrong side of the Mexican authorities, cartels, or government.

purevpn dns leak test 1

Enough about the Mexican servers. What about PureVPN’s international servers? Are they any good?

Well, they are; all 6500+ of them in 78+ countries.

This represents a bigger server and country count than NordVPN and PrivateVPN offer, even though PureVPN falls behind on server speed.

Plus, it falls behind CyberGhost on both counts and only edges Surfshark out on the server count.

available server locations on purevpn

But what good are these numbers if they don’t work?

So, I tried PureVPN to unblock my favorite streaming services and channels unavailable in Mexico and got access to

  • France TV over French servers
  • BBC iPlayer on UK servers
  • Netflix US on USA servers
  • Crave TV on Canadian servers
  • TV Norge on Norway servers

On every test, these services were unblocked over the first server I connected to in those locations. That shows the reliability of every server PureVPN carries. Again, I don’t mind that it only has six servers in Mexico since I’m sure they’re capable.

I also noticed that some of the servers (especially in the USA) are optimized for streaming. You can only find these on the PC app, though.

Even so, you can connect to any server in your preferred location and get streaming in no time.

purevpn us servers

You’ll also find some specialty, quantum-resistant servers in the PureVPN mobile and PC app. PureVPN explains that these servers are engineered against next-gen quantum computer decryption.

purevpn quantum resistant feature

This is the first time I’m seeing such on a VPN, and it should give you a higher level of trust in what lengths this provider will go to ensure your digital privacy.

Where PureVPN falls short of the rest so far, though, is in lacking a proper ad blocker. So, even though it has P2P-optimized servers for faster torrent downloads, it didn’t help block any of the invasive ads on the torrent sites.

Likewise, I had to endure these ads all over the web.

That’s why I defer to NordVPN to get a cleaner web version when it’s unbearable.

post about cheap vpn for mexico servers
If this is you, know that NordVPN offers the cheapest VPN service for Mexico

PureVPN also lacks an automatic public Wi-Fi protection feature.

Don’t get me wrong. Connecting to a PureVPN server once you’re on public Wi-Fi networks still encrypts your connection and protects you from packet data sniffing or other attacks. But PureVPN won’t automatically activate to encrypt that connection once you connect to the public network.

That sounds like a small dealbreaker, but it could be major if you like to leave your Wi-Fi setting to roam and latch on to the nearest, free hotspot.

Still, PureVPN counters NordVPN and CyberGhost with ten simultaneous device connections. If that’s not enough to sway you, it’s also the most affordable VPN provider I listed. So, it makes a good monetary value argument to compensate for the other parts it lacks.

PrivateVPN – Mexico Servers + Free Dedicated IPs for Reliable Content Unblocking

privatevpn on mexico server

I only found one PrivateVPN server in Mexico, which is a little disappointing, considering what the other VPN providers offer.

However, disconnecting and reconnecting to this server generates different IP addresses for me. So, I know users won’t be overcrowded on a single server.

Furthermore, I checked that the server is reliable on each IP it generates. Luckily, my IP leak tests always come back with the Mexican IP addresses assigned to me by PrivateVPN.

privatevpn dns leak test 1

Thus, it was little wonder that I easily unblocked AND 40 news content and videos.

But there’s another concern:

I know PrivateVPN is fast (from my other streaming tests), but it was constantly returning lower-quality videos on the Mexican servers.

I suppose those servers aren’t as optimized for speed, so I’ll suggest you choose any of my other VPNs for speed over Mexican servers.

Speaking of other servers on PrivateVPN, the provider boasts a modest 200+ servers in 63 countries. That’s way less than my other VPNs offer.

But knowing that each server is a hub for multiple IP addresses, you won’t be lacking a reliable server whenever you want it.

One aspect where PrivateVPN stands out the best is its dedicated IP addresses.

privatevpn server locations and pings

Some of my other listed VPNs (except Surfshark) also offer dedicated IP addresses. The major difference with PrivateVPN’s offering is that it’s free. Whereas the feature is paid for with the other providers.

Likewise, PrivateVPN’s offering ensures better security since you don’t get a single, unchanging IP address that can be linked back to you.

Instead, you get an unused, unshared, and unique IP address that can never be reused whenever you request a dedicated IP address.

Think of this as getting a burner IP address that ceases to exist after using it once, and you can see the security benefits of that.

The only gripe is that none of these dedicated IP servers are in Mexico yet. Fortunately, you get a ton of other countries to choose from.

Besides that, PrivateVPN is also great at unblocking content globally on its servers.

privatevpn unblock content
PrivateVPN recommends itself for reliable content unblocking

The first evidence came via the VPN informing me of its ability to bypass Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, and BBC iPlayer restrictions after logging in.

I tested these claims, and PrivateVPN holds true to its word.

If you’re concerned about online privacy and security, NEVER connect to PrivateVPN’s servers using the AES 128-bit encryption models offered in its apps. This encryption model will give you slightly faster speeds, but you risk getting your live traffic hacked to reveal everything you’re doing online.

privatevpn openvpn encryption options

Rather, always connect to any of the AES 256-bit encryption models.

This is also why I fear PrivateVPN isn’t as beginner-friendly as my other recommended VPNs.

Looking past that, PrivateVPN is like PureVPN in not offering an ad blocker. That’s not where the similarities end either, extending into a lack of automatic public Wi-Fi protection.

Considering how malicious cyber threat actors in Mexico can be, I don’t recommend this VPN if you’re fond of connecting to free Wi-Fi networks.

Unless you’ll always remember to manually connect to a VPN server, that is.

Again, NordVPN is my top choice if you need these features in your VPN.

Even so, PrivateVPN still beats NordVPN and CyberGhost with its ten simultaneous device connections. It’s also more affordable than both VPNs and brings better offers to the table.

I’d sweeten the deal with these PrivateVPN discounts if I were you.

How to Setup a VPN for Mexico?

Quickly set up a VPN for Mexico by enabling the internet kill switch and connecting to a preferred server over the fastest protocol. It’s inadvisable to use obfuscation protocols in Mexico since there isn’t any severe censorship that a regular server won’t bypass.

Here’s a stepwise guide to getting your Mexico VPN working in less than five minutes:

  1. Pay for a reliable Mexico VPN. I got great results with NordVPN.
  2. Download the VPN app to your preferred device. I’ll use my Windows PC for this example.
  3. Install the app and log in with your account credentials.
  4. Enable the VPN kill switch to prevent IP/DNS leaks. Go to Settings > Kill Switch > toggleInternet Kill Switch.”

  1. Choose the fastest protocol. That’s NordLynx on NordVPN.

  1. Search for a preferred server and connect to it. I’ll use Mexico for this example.

  1. Wait for the connection confirmation. Then, test for leaks (I use www.ipleak.net).
  2. If there are no leaks, you can now browse the web securely.

Can I Use a Free VPN in Mexico?

You can use a free VPN in Mexico, but you risk getting deanonymized, leaking your live traffic to the government/ISPs/cartel, and suffering from geo-blocks that you could have avoided with premium VPNs.

nrk vpn block
Free VPNs are poor at unblocking content and bypassing detection

It’s also not uncommon for free VPNs to collect your internet data and sell it to the highest bidder, which could be anyone desperate enough to know what you’re doing online or discover your identity.

That’s why I’ll always advise affordable and premium VPNs like NordVPN.

With NordVPN, you can access thousands of encrypted servers, reliable content unblocking, online privacy and security, and six simultaneous device connections.

Frequently Asked Questions

VPNs are legal in Mexico to encrypt your online connection, protect your internet activity from snoopers, and unblock content unavailable in the region.

However, it’s illegal to commit cybercrimes with a VPN and against reliable VPN providers’ ToS. Thus, stay on the right side of the law when using a VPN, and you won’t have trouble keeping yourself safe online.

NordVPN is the best VPN for mobile devices in Mexico. Its easy-to-use Android and iOS apps make it beginner-friendly, and it packs all its premium features in the mobile app. Thus, you get thousands of servers, Threat Protection, reliable content unblocking, and robust encryption in the palm of your hands.

NordVPN is the best VPN for PCs in Mexico. The VPN provider offers intuitive native apps for Windows, Mac, Linux, and Chromebook users.

It also boosts its offering with Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, and Mozilla Firefox browser extensions to unblock in-browser services and get faster speeds over the app’s encryption.

Telmex and other Mexican ISPs can tell if you’re using a VPN.

However, it can’t see what you’re doing over the VPN since you’ve bypassed its network to tunnel your internet data via the VPN’s servers instead.

Likewise, you can hide your VPN usage from Telmex by using an obfuscation protocol. But these slow down your internet connection, so it’s not usually worth it.

There are no free VPNs with Mexico servers. But even if there was, they won’t be advisable since they’ll most likely collect (and sell) the data you transmit on those servers, leak your IP/DNS requests, and supply low speeds.

NordVPN is the best VPN for Netflix in Mexico. NordVPN unblocks the local Netflix library via its Mexico servers and can unblock Netflix US, Australia, Japan, and other regional Netflix libraries via its servers in these regions.

Finally, NordVPN averages 33Mbps speeds on a 45Mbps connection, ensuring 4K Netflix streams in Mexico when you need it.

NordVPN is the best VPN for Hulu in Mexico. It offers 1970+ servers in 15 US locations to ensure unbuffered Hulu streaming from anywhere without encountering server overcrowding. It also has a Japanese server to unblock regional Hulu Japan content and 5500+ servers in 59 countries to stream Hulu from anywhere else.

Better Online Privacy & Freedom? Desde Luego!

Fortunately, the first step to ensuring a private digital lifestyle and anonymous online footprint isn’t rocket science. Instead, it’s right in front of you with these VPNs.

If hard pressed for an option, NordVPN was my best bet during my stay in Mexico and even after I left. With 5500+ servers in 59 countries, 10+ Mexican servers, reliable content unblocking, a badass ad blocker, and fast speeds, that’s not surprising.
