Surfshark is the best VPN to stream Voot anywhere, predominantly for its combination of UK, US, and Indian servers with reliable unblocking and fast speeds.
The VPN provider also allows unlimited simultaneous connections, ensuring you can stream Voot Premium content on the allowed four devices over Surfshark.
But Surfshark isn’t the only VPN capable of unblocking Voot from outside India, the UK, or the US.
You can unblock the service using CyberGhost, PrivateVPN, PureVPN, and VyprVPN.
But which should you settle on?
Follow through as I share the results of my VPN streaming tests for Voot.
Top 3 VPNs for Voot
CyberGhost offers servers specialized to streaming content like Voot from the UK, US, and Indian servers. Unblock your favorite shows, originals, and Voot movies over its PC and mobile apps or smart TV support.
Surfshark provides Voot-unblocking servers in the UK, the US, and India to access the platform’s content on mobile devices, PCs, or smart TVs. Stream simultaneously on all Voot Select supported devices, thanks to Surfshark’s unlimited simultaneous connections.
PrivateVPN ensures fresh streaming IPs whenever you need it, thanks to its FREE dedicated IP addresses in the UK, US, and India. Alternatively, connect to regular servers in these regions to unblock Voot across ten simultaneous connections covering PCs and mobile devices.
Voot is generally available in India but not so elsewhere. Thankfully, it’s also available in the US (but on Sling TV alone) and in the UK (via Virgin Media).
If you’re like me, you can stream the free version of Voot without subscribing to Sling TV or Virgin Media. However, you’ll still need a VPN to India to do that, and you won’t get access to some original content on Voot.
No matter which streaming option you prefer, I’ve got you covered.
I tested 21+ VPN providers (free and paid), and these five came out tops.
Want to know how they fare? Read their summaries below to get started on the best choice.
Watch Bigg Boss, Rising Star, Code M, and Other Voot Content From Anywhere With These Top VPNs
Whether you’re a fan of Voot originals like London Files, a lover of its series like Code M, or prefer top movies like Drishyam, my selected VPNs are up to the task.
Here’s a snippet of what they offer:
- Surfshark – Get 300+ UK servers, 600+ US servers, and multiple Indian server locations to stream Voot content in 4K from anywhere.
- CyberGhost – Enjoy the second-largest collection of Voot-supported servers in India, the US, and the UK to stream Voot on multiple devices.
- PrivateVPN – Bypass Voot’s VPN blocks with fresh and unused free dedicated IP addresses or connect to standard servers to stream Voot anywhere.
- PureVPN – Offers the largest collection of UK, US, and Indian servers to unblock and watch high-quality Voot streams from anywhere.
- VyprVPN – Hide your VPN traffic to bypass Voot firewalls with VyprVPN’s Chameleon protocol over all relevant Voot servers.
If the summaries above make it tougher to decide on one VPN, I’ve been there too.

Reviews and Comparisons of the Best VPNs for Voot
I tested these VPNs on streaming speed, reliable unblocking ability, support for multiple Voot-streaming platforms, ability to stream simultaneously, and relevant Voot-unblocking servers. Here’s how each VPN reacted to the litmus test.
Surfshark – Stream Voot Over 2 Indian Servers, 360 UK Servers & 600+ US Servers
Surfshark comes roaring against Voot out of the box with 2 Indian server locations, 360 UK servers, and 600+ US servers that make streaming the Indian service easy.
My preferred Voot streaming method is the free plan over its website.
The Indian server is the best option here, especially if you want to get Voot content for FREE.
So, I connected to Surfshark’s Indian server in Delhi server to unblock buffer-less HD streams of Goblin, Flower of Evil, El Continental, and Extraordinary You.
I even tried intentionally messing up the network by pausing/playing and disconnecting the Wi-Fi to reconnect, but Surfshark held its ground.
Thus, it wasn’t surprising to see this VPN score a massive 39Mbps on a 45Mbps connection test. This is close to my base speeds and shows speeds capable of 4K streaming.
I noticed that Surfshark uses virtual servers in India instead of physical servers, and I suppose the same is true for the other VPN providers.
This is due to India cracking down on tech companies and asking them to log data about their users.
So, the VPNs I chose would rather exit the country than agree to spy on what you do online. Impressive!
Fortunately, these virtual servers are reliably engineered against detection, thanks to Surfshark’s encryption. Thus, you can unblock Voot over them, just like I showed above.
You can also unblock Voot over Sling TV and Virgin Media TV to get even higher-quality streams than the free plan provides.
The best part is that you have more UK and US server locations than the Indian ones. That way, you don’t have to worry about getting overcrowded due to multiple users streaming different content elsewhere on these servers.
It gets better.
Surfshark has native apps for PCs and mobile devices, the choice streaming units for most Voot users. However, there’s no native app support for Voot streamers who watch content on non-Android Smart TVs or Xbox gaming consoles.
Fortunately, Surfshark rises to that occasion with two other options:
- Smart DNS: Set up Smart DNS on your Smart TV or Xbox gaming console to stream Voot over Sling TV. The only drawback is that Smart DNS usually works for the US region alone.
- Router support: Set up Surfshark on a compatible router to broadcast a secure Indian, US, or UK server connection to your PCs, mobile devices, smart TVs, consoles, and other Voot-streaming units.
Both options come as part of your already-affordable VPN plan, so don’t worry about having to shell out anything extra for it.
But there’s another concern. What happens when multiple users in the same household (or outside) want to unblock and stream Voot content simultaneously?
Thankfully, Surfshark supports unlimited simultaneous connections with unlimited bandwidth. So, Sling TV (3 simultaneous streams), Voot Freemium (unlimited streamers), Virgin Media (4 simultaneous streams), and Voot Select (4 simultaneous streams) users can unblock the service with Surfshark on different devices all at once.
You’d expect Surfshark to cost an arm and a leg, but that’s not the case.
Rather, it’s the second most affordable VPN provider I reviewed.
Grab these Surfshark discounts to save more and enjoy a 30-day money-back guarantee to test it for Voot.
Pros
- 2 Indian servers, 360 UK servers, and 600+ US servers to stream Voot
- Fastest Voot streaming VPN (39Mbps)
- Unblocks Voot on PCs and mobile devices
- Offers Smart DNS and router support for Xbox and Smart TVs
- Unlimited simultaneous device connections to unblock multiple Voot streams
- Affordable VPN provider
Cons
- Smart DNS only works for US locations
CyberGhost - Unblock Voot Over 29 Indian Servers, 700+ UK Servers & 1300+ USA Servers
CyberGhost’s collection of Voot-supported servers is only second to PureVPN, showing how massive a library it boasts. So, it edges out Surfshark on servers in individual Voot-supported locations.
But it isn’t just about the large servers. So, I connected to the Indian server to watch a little of Rocketry, 777 Charlie, and KGF: Chapter 1, all without lag or buffering.
Like Surfshark, CyberGhost also uses virtual servers in India.
But I like that all the Indian servers are P2P-optimized, ensuring they’re fast enough for content download and streaming.
Thus, it wasn’t surprising that CyberGhost managed 37Mbps, just behind Surfshark, to claim the second-fastest VPN on this list.
It’s worth noting that these speeds are also capable of 4K streams if you find the right Voot streaming platform.
Another area where CyberGhost impresses is with its streaming-optimized servers, with two in India. Even though the Indian dedicated-streaming servers are optimized for Netflix India and Disney+ Hotstar, they still did a fantastic job on Voot.
This shows that
- You can connect to the streaming-optimized servers to stream anything.
- CyberGhost can stream more than just Voot, which is a plus.
These streaming servers are even more plentiful in the UK and the US, the two other locations where you can unblock Voot content.
Thus, they’re your best bet if you’re streaming Voot over your Virgin TV or Sling TV subscription, respectively.
That brings me to device support, given that CyberGhost has easy-to-use apps on PCs and mobile devices. You also get the streaming-optimized servers on mobile. Even if you didn’t, I tried the regular servers, and they impressed me during the streaming tests.
Here comes some mixed news:
CyberGhost’s Smart DNS isn’t available for India. But unlike Surfshark’s, there’s support for a UK location too. Likewise, you can install the VPN on your router to broadcast a secure Indian, UK, or US IP address to your smartphone, PC, Xbox console (to stream Voot on Sling TV), or Smart TV.
The only area where it falls short of Surfshark is its seven simultaneous device connections instead of the unlimited option on Surfshark.
However, it’s one of the affordable VPNs here, too, even if not as cheap as Surfshark.
Luckily, we’ve got some limited-time CyberGhost deals to help you save more. They also come with a 45-day money-back guarantee, the longest test time for a Voot VPN here.
Pros
- 29 Indian servers, 700+ UK servers, and 1300+ US servers to unblock Voot
- Streaming-optimized servers in all Voot regions for better performance
- Second-fastest streaming VPN at 37Mbps
- Unblocks Voot streams on mobile devices and PCs
- Smart DNS offers US and UK streaming locations
- 45-day money-back guarantee if you’re unsatisfied with the VPN
Cons
- Not as fast as Surfshark
- No unlimited connections
PrivateVPN - Get Static, and Free Dedicated IP Addresses to Stream Voot Over India, USA, or UK IP
PrivateVPN doesn’t have as many servers as any of the VPNs here, but it has an ace up its sleeves: free dedicated IPs.
To put PrivateVPN’s disadvantage in numbers, it has just 200+ servers.
That’s less than the US servers on Surfshark, PureVPN, and CyberGhost alone.
Even so, I didn’t mind since the Indian servers (in Bangalore and Mumbai) unblocked Voot whenever I connected. PrivateVPN was impressive all through the time I spent watching the Best of BWF, La Liga Highlights, Nitto ATP Finals 2020, and some PSA World Tour content.
You’ll get the same good luck with the UK and US servers if they’re the best bet for your Voot streaming platform. You also get two streaming locations in the UK and 12 US server locations to connect to.
But there’s more with PrivateVPN.
A dedicated IP tab on PCs and mobile devices gives you fresh, never-before-use, and never-to-be-reused IP addresses.
These dedicated IP addresses ensure
- Voot never catches on to your VPN activity since it can’t tie the IP address back to any VPN.
- Voot doesn’t block your account from having logged commonly shared VPN IP addresses, which this isn’t.
I’m also extra impressed because the other VPNs with dedicated IP addresses (CyberGhost and PureVPN) charge a premium for these and don’t even have Indian servers. PrivateVPN, on the other hand, has UK, US, and Indian dedicated IP servers.
That said, PrivateVPN falls short when it comes to device support.
Don’t get me wrong. You can still stream Voot content on the PC app, via the web, and on Android/iOS smartphones. However, you miss out on Smart DNS, which would have made it easier to stream the US or UK Voot versions on Xbox series consoles and your non-Android smart TVs.
The only saving grace is that it supports routers with the OpenVPN configuration.
If you’re willing to live with that, it’s a reprieve that PrivateVPN is one of the affordable providers. I wasn’t expecting it to be expensive, considering it provides the least server count here.
It also impresses with ten simultaneous connections.
You can use four slots to ensure all Voot Select account users can simultaneously unblock and stream preferred shows, movies, sports, and other content.
Before you go, grab these PrivateVPN deals to save more on your purchase.
Pros
- India, US, and UK servers to unblock Voot anywhere
- Free dedicated IP servers to avoid Voot account bans
- Unblocks Voot shows, movies, and live content on PC and mobile
- Router support to stream Voot on Smart TVs and Xbox gaming console
- Ten simultaneous device connections
Cons
- Least server count on the list
- Doesn’t have Smart DNS support
PureVPN - Enjoy 45+ Indian Servers, 600+ UK Servers, and 1800+ USA Servers to Stream Voot Anywhere
Here’s PureVPN, with the largest collection of servers to unblock and stream Voot from anywhere.
PureVPN is the only other VPN besides CyberGhost to offer streaming-dedicated servers. The difference is it limits its optimized streaming servers to the USA alone. But that doesn’t mean the other servers aren’t great for streaming content.
So, I connected to one of its 45+ Indian servers in Mumbai and quickly unblocked Voot to watch the latest on Shiva vs. Storm Falcon and The Rise of Kirmada. Don’t blame me, but I ran out of options to entertain my niece while babysitting, and Voot happened to come in handy with these kid shows.
Thankfully, PureVPN isn’t only good for its Indian servers.
While there aren’t any US servers optimized for streaming Voot, you can connect to any other streaming servers to unblock Voot.
And if you choose the regular servers instead, you won’t be disappointed.
One thing I quickly noticed about PureVPN was a slight delay at the start of my Voot streams, especially when streaming sports. That led to the speed test, which revealed a 27Mbps speed result.
Now, that’s not as fast as Surfshark or CyberGhost managed, but still fast enough for sustained HD streams. Even so, it may struggle with 4K Voot streams if you have devices capable of that quality.
If the speed isn’t a dealbreaker for you (it wasn’t for me), know that PureVPN also works seamlessly on PCs and mobile devices.
Unlike the others, though, its PC and mobile apps are a bit different.
Luckily, you can get around to any setting or preferred option with a maximum of two taps.
Sadly, PureVPN doesn’t offer Smart DNS support yet.
This puts it in league with PrivateVPN that’s also missing this feature.
But at least, PrivateVPN offers free dedicated IP addresses, while PureVPN keeps that feature behind a paywall.
It’s great that it offers router support, though. Otherwise, you wouldn’t have been able to unblock Voot content on your Xbox gaming console (via Sling TV) or smart TVs that can’t download a native VPN app.
The similarities with PrivateVPN continue into the allowed simultaneous connections (ten) and affordability. However, PureVPN pulls through by being the overall most affordable VPN provider here.
Want to save even more on your PureVPN plan? Grab these HUGE discounts before they expire.
Pros
- Largest server libraries in the UK, US, and India to unblock Voot
- Streaming optimized US servers to quickly unblock Voot
- Offers seamless Voot streams on mobile and PC
- Router software support for smart TVs and gaming consoles to stream Voot
- Decent speeds to stream Voot in HD
- Ten simultaneous device connections
Cons
- Not as fast as Surfshark and CyberGhost
- No Smart DNS support
VyprVPN - Bypass Voot Detection With Fast Chameleon Mode on UK, USA, and Indian Servers
VyprVPN is your best bet to get around Voot’s VPN traffic blocks without losing speed.
All the other VPNs (except CyberGhost) also offer obfuscation, which masks your VPN traffic as regular traffic, but none is as fast as VyprVPN.
In fact, it uses a specialty Chameleon protocol to make this happen, showing its dedication to protecting your data, identity, and location while streaming movies, documentaries, shows, or sports on Voot.
But does it even have the relevant servers to stream Voot? Yes, it does: one server in India, one server in the UK, and eight server locations in the USA.
I was surprised that this VPN only has one server location in India and the UK. But I’ve always preferred quality over quantity. Thus, I’m satisfied with these servers unblocking Voot. In contrast, other VPNs with multiple Indian/UK servers that I tested struggled to get a steady Voot stream.
With VyprVPN, I can no longer be affected by spoilers to Kairos, Two Cops, Undercover and Prison Playbook. I’ll also recommend any of these titles to wind off after a long day of work.
Given VyprVPN’s promise of fast obfuscation under the Chameleon protocol, I wasn’t surprised by the steady HD streaming speeds I got with this VPN.
You get these servers, speeds, and even the fast Chameleon protocol on PCs and mobile devices. So, you’re never stranded on your preferred devices when you’re in the mood for some Voot sports, documentaries, movies, or shows.
Shockingly, VyprVPN lacks Smart DNS support. That’s surprising, given that it’s the most expensive VPN provider listed here. Makes you wonder if it spent all that money maintaining the fast obfuscation servers.
It has a silver lining in its router support, though. So, you’re not left without Voot-unblocking options for your smart TVs and gaming consoles.
Since smart DNS is usually partial to US server locations and lacks encryption, you’re better off with the router software.
Finally, VyprVPN offers 30 simultaneous device connections.
That’s way more than you need to simultaneously unblock and stream Voot on all supported Sling TV, Virgin TV, or Voot Select devices.
However, it may come in handy if many Voot users on the free account want to unblock and watch different shows at once.
No matter how you look at it, that’s better than what the others (except Surfshark) offer.
Since VyprVPN is the costliest provider that made this list, I sweetened the deal for you.
Use these one-time VyprVPN discounts to save more and get a 30-day money-back guarantee.
Pros
- Servers in India, the US, and the UK to unblock Voot anywhere
- Fast obfuscation to hide VPN traffic from Voot and bypass streaming firewalls
- Unblocks Voot on mobile devices and PCs
- Router software to access Voot on smart TVs, streaming boxes, and Xbox
- 30 simultaneous device connections
Cons
- Lacks Smart DNS support
How to Setup a VPN for Voot?
The best way to set up a VPN for Voot depends on what streaming platform you’re watching Voot on. Since you can watch Voot from the official website/app, Virgin Media TV, or Sling TV, I included steps to unblock the service on these platforms below.
How to Watch Voot on the Website/App?
This is the most preferred method to unblock Voot anywhere, especially if you’re not in the US, UK, or India. It’s also the best way to get Voot content for free, although you’ll miss out on some originals.
Here’s how to get Voot from the official website app:
- Choose your preferred Voot VPN. I unblock and stream Voot with Surfshark.
- Download the Surfshark app for your PC or mobile device. I’ll use Windows PC for this example.
- Launch the app and log in with your Surfshark account details.
- Choose the WireGuard protocol since it’s the fastest for streaming. Go to Settings > VPN settings > Protocol tab > WireGuard.
- Enable the VPN kill switch to prevent IP leaks on random VPN connection drops. Go to Settings > VPN settings > toggle “Kill Switch.”
- Go to the VPN homepage and search for an Indian server. Click any of the suggested servers to connect.
- Wait for the connection confirmation. Then test for leaks. I use www.ipleak.net.
- If there are no leaks, go to the Voot website in your browser. I recommend Incognito/private browsing mode to prevent cookie/cache interference.
- Register with an email address. I recommend using a burner email address, but there’s nothing wrong with using your main email address.
- Start streaming FREE Voot content from anywhere.
How to Watch Voot on Sling TV?
You can watch the Big Boss OTT reality show, grab the Marzi thriller, and enjoy every Stupid Man Smart Phone episode on Voot’s Sling TV channel from anywhere.
Here’s how:
- Follow steps 1-5 from above.
- Go to the Surfshark homepage and search for a US server. Connect to any of the 25 US cities.
- Go to the Sling TV website and purchase a subscription.
- Add the “Desi Binge” or “Desi Binge Plus” package to your subscription to get Voot and other Indian content. Otherwise, you can get Voot only for $7/month.
- Download the Sling TV app to your PC, mobile device, smart TV, or Xbox gaming console.
- For PC and mobile, stream Voot content over your US server connection from the Surfshark app.
- For Smart TV and Xbox users, set up Surfshark’s smart DNS to stream Voot content on your Sling TV.
- Or, set up Surfshark on your router and broadcast a US server location to your gaming console or smart TV.
How to Watch Voot on Virgin TV?
You can unblock Voot’s sports content, shows, movies, and originals on Surfshark’s UK servers. Here’s how to do that:
- Follow steps 1-5 from the website/app guide.
- Search for a UK server location and connect to it.
- Go to the Virgin Media TV website and add the Desi Pack (Channel 800). It’s cheaper if you’re already an Asian Mela customer.
- Stream Voot on Virgin TV Go app or via its website.
Can I Use a Free VPN to Watch Voot?
Most free VPNs lack Indian servers but can feature unreliable US and UK IP addresses. These free servers are typically too slow to stream Voot content, may be unreliable to unblock Voot, and can even ban your Voot account.
On top of that, free VPNs make you the product, collecting sensitive data about your online activity to sell to third parties.
Save yourself the headache and uncertainties by choosing a reliable, affordable VPN provider like Surfshark with all Voot-supported servers and unlimited simultaneous device connections.
How to Pay For Voot From Anywhere (Outside India)?
The best way to pay for Voot outside India is to use gift cards, pay with an Indian debit card or have an Indian friend make the payment for you. Likewise, you can purchase the Virgin TV Desi pack or Sling TV’s channel package for Voot, which are less selective of payment options.
However, the latter options are costlier if you only want to stream Voot and nothing else.
Voot Not Working With VPN? Try These 7 Fixes
If your Voot app/streaming website isn’t unblocking content with a VPN or not playing anything at all, here are a few fixes to try:
- Choose a reliable VPN. This step alone solves most of your problems. If you’re hard-pressed for an option, choose Surfshark.
- Connect to relevant servers. You can unblock Voot in the US, UK, and India, but with different platforms. Connect to Indian servers to use the Voot website, US servers to watch Voot on Sling TV, and UK servers to get Voot on Virgin Media.
- Switch servers. If you’ve chosen the relevant servers, but they’re still not working, disconnect and reconnect to another server. Thankfully, my top Voot VPN (Surfshark) has multiple servers in all supported regions.
- Change your VPN protocol. The best VPN protocol to stream Voot is the fastest one, which is usually WireGuard or IKEv2. Ensure you have the protocol enabled.
- Clear cache and cookies. Browser or device cache and cookies could interfere with VPN unblocking by leaking your IP address/location details in the VPN tunnel. Clear these and try again.
- Enable the kill switch. The VPN kill switch prevents IP leaks if the VPN connection randomly drops, which could help Voot catch on to your actual location. Always ensure it’s enabled.
- Speak with customer support. If all else fails, reach out to customer support staff. Luckily, my top VPNs have live chat support on standby to help you 24/7.
FAQ
Is It Legal to Watch Voot With a VPN?
It’s legal to watch Voot with a VPN, especially if you’re paying for the service over Voot Select, Sling TV, or Virgin Media. However, you’re not breaking the law by watching the free Voot service either, since you’re being served ads that benefit the Voot brand and the companies they represent.
However, it’s illegal to take videos off the Voot platform, reproduce them, redistribute the content, or violate copyright rules in any way with a VPN.
So, keep streaming safely with a VPN, and you won’t land on the wrong side of the law.
Enjoy Unlimited Voot Content Anywhere
You don’t have to travel to India, the US, or the UK to enjoy Voot content.
Likewise, you may not even have to pay for select Voot content if you stream the FREE version on Indian servers.
Doing so requires a VPN optimized for speed, reliable for streaming, great at content unblocking, and has servers in all the Voot-supported regions.
That’s where Surfshark shines the most.
Grab these Surfshark deals to save more on your purchase and enjoy a 30-day money-back guarantee to test this provider.
