NordVPN + Saily: Bundles, Setup & Costs (2026)

NordVPN and Saily do different jobs: NordVPN provides a VPN connection, while Saily supplies mobile data through an eSIM. Saily Ultra advertises NordVPN as an included security tool. A regular Saily data plan’s virtual-location feature is not a full VPN.

If you already have Ultra, check your included benefits before paying for a separate VPN. If you already have NordVPN and need data for one trip, compare a destination eSIM with Ultra’s subscription cost rather than buying another bundle by default.

Based on Saily’s product and support pages and NordVPN’s US checkout. We did not run an overseas speed test or complete an Ultra activation.

Does NordVPN Include Saily?

Do not assume that buying a NordVPN subscription gives you a Saily data allowance. In the Basic checkout we inspected, the order listed NordVPN and an optional dedicated-IP add-on; it did not name a Saily data entitlement.

A promotion can include a separate travel-data benefit, but your order needs to state it. Check the destination coverage, allowance, validity, redemption deadline, and account eligibility. A product tile or link to Saily inside an app is not proof that a data plan has been purchased.

If an offer promises Saily credit or data, retain the confirmation and follow the redemption instructions supplied for that offer. Do not replace them with instructions for a different campaign. Our NordVPN coupon guide helps distinguish public offers from other promotions.

Does Saily Include NordVPN?

Saily Ultra does advertise NordVPN; an ordinary destination data plan should not be treated as the same bundle. The Ultra product page lists NordVPN, NordPass, NordLocker, and Incogni among its security tools.

Ultra now has Standard, Plus, and Premium tiers. The product page describes Standard as 10 GB of high-speed data. Plus and Premium include 30 GB of high-speed data followed by data at up to 1 Mbps, across the listed Ultra destinations. Check the current comparison when purchasing; an older article describing every Ultra plan as identical can miss these differences.

Is Saily’s Virtual Location a VPN?

Saily’s own security-feature explanation says no. Its virtual-location feature routes traffic through a remote server and changes the apparent location, but Saily distinguishes that from the privacy protection of a dedicated VPN.

Saily also includes DNS-based ad blocking and web protection with its data plans. These features have limits: they cannot block every ad or every threat. An eSIM data connection, a DNS filter, and a VPN tunnel should not be treated as interchangeable products.

NordVPN needs a working internet connection to connect to a VPN server. That connection can be Saily mobile data, another carrier’s data, or Wi-Fi. NordVPN does not replace a mobile data allowance, unlock an incompatible phone, or create coverage where the cellular service has none.

What Does the Combination Cost in US Dollars?

Compare Saily’s Ultra monthly plans with the cost of a separate VPN and the data you need. The figures below are advertised prices; check taxes, eligibility, and the exact billing period in your order.

USD price reference: October 27, 2026. Offers and taxes can vary.

Saily also offers other billing periods. An annual plan’s monthly equivalent is not necessarily an amount charged monthly. Compare the total payment, data refresh period, and included benefits for the exact option selected.

For the VPN portion, use our NordVPN total-cost calculator. It separates the initial term from renewal. It does not add a Saily allowance or assume that two subscriptions expire together.

Which Route Would I Choose?

For an occasional trip, I would start with the NordVPN account you already have and price the data needed for that destination. A larger monthly bundle needs to earn its extra cost through benefits you will actually use.

For frequent international travel, compare Ultra with the sum of your current data purchases, security subscriptions, and usable travel benefits. Value airport perks only when your routes and airports qualify. Avoid counting a VPN benefit as a new saving if you already paid for several years of VPN service and cannot recover that cost.

If you need only VPN protection on Wi-Fi, NordVPN Basic is the sensible starting point. Our NordVPN review covers the VPN itself, and the family-sharing guide explains its simultaneous-device limit.

How to Set Up Saily and NordVPN

1. Check Your Phone and Purchase Route

Saily’s activation instructions require an eSIM-compatible, carrier-unlocked device and a working connection for initial installation. Check your exact model before buying. A VPN cannot bypass a carrier’s SIM lock.

Choose whether you are activating a regular data plan, a promotional benefit, or Ultra. Their validity and billing rules can differ. In particular, Saily’s Ultra page says the subscription starts immediately after purchase; do not assume you can buy it now and start the billing period at a much later departure date.

2. Install the eSIM Before You Travel

Install the Saily app and follow its instructions for your device. Select the correct eSIM for mobile data when you are ready to use it. Follow Saily’s instructions for data roaming on that eSIM, while checking your primary carrier’s roaming settings separately.

Regular destination-plan activation depends on the plan’s rules and supported location. Read those rules before leaving, especially for destinations where app access may be restricted. Installation, the start of a data allowance, and the start of a subscription are not necessarily the same event.

3. Activate Any Included VPN Benefit

For Ultra or another bundle, open the benefits or activation instructions associated with your purchase and confirm which Nord Account should receive the entitlement. If you already pay for NordVPN, establish how the benefit interacts with that subscription before buying another term.

We have not completed an Ultra activation in this update, so we cannot confirm a universal sequence of account-menu labels or promise that existing paid time will be extended. If the benefit is missing, contact Saily support with the order reference. Never send a password or recovery code.

4. Connect Through the NordVPN App

Once mobile data works and the VPN entitlement is active, install the official NordVPN app, sign in, and connect. Start with a nearby server if your goal is protecting the connection rather than using a particular exit location.

Our NordVPN iPhone guide covers iOS setup. For automatic connection settings, use the NordVPN auto-connect guide. Keep both apps updated before departure.

What if Saily Works but NordVPN Does Not?

First establish that the eSIM provides a usable connection without the VPN. If it does, try another NordVPN server and follow the app’s current troubleshooting instructions. If data does not work at all, check the Saily plan, destination, signal, and selected mobile-data line first.

Avoid changing several settings at once. A slower connection can come from the cellular network, a data-plan speed limit, or the VPN route. Testing those separately makes it easier to identify the cause. See our NordVPN connection troubleshooting guide for the VPN side.

Renewal and Cancellation: Keep the Two Purchases Straight

An independently purchased NordVPN subscription keeps its own billing cycle. Buying or canceling a separate Saily plan does not by itself cancel that direct NordVPN subscription.

For Ultra, review what happens to included benefits when the bundle ends. Saily’s cancellation guide distinguishes Ultra subscriptions, phone-number plans, and auto top-up. Each can require its own action. Check confirmation in the account rather than assuming uninstalling an app ends billing.

If you bought NordVPN separately, our NordVPN cancellation guide covers that process. Turn off only the renewal you intend to stop, and retain access to the accounts until any refund or subscription question is resolved.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Saily Owned by the Same Company as NordVPN?

Saily describes itself as an eSIM service from Nord Security, the company behind NordVPN. They still serve different purposes: mobile connectivity and VPN protection.

Does Every Saily Plan Include NordVPN?

Saily Ultra advertises NordVPN among its security benefits. Do not assume a regular destination data plan includes a separate VPN subscription; its virtual-location feature is different.

Can I Use NordVPN With Saily Mobile Data?

NordVPN can use a working mobile data connection. First establish that the Saily eSIM is connected, then connect through the NordVPN app. Network restrictions, coverage, and data-plan speed limits can affect the result.

Should I Buy NordVPN Again if I Have Saily Ultra?

Check your included entitlement and activation instructions first. Confirm the account, term, and interaction with any existing NordVPN subscription before paying for another plan.

Does a NordVPN Subscription Give Me Mobile Data?

The VPN itself does not supply cellular data. Use Wi-Fi, your mobile carrier, or an eSIM data plan. Count a promotional Saily benefit only when it is explicitly included in your order.

Buy the Missing Service First

For an existing NordVPN subscriber, that may be a small destination data plan. For an Ultra subscriber, it may simply be activating an included benefit. For someone who only needs a VPN, start with the standalone VPN price and avoid paying for travel features you will not use.
