I’m obsessed with pretty much every CW show.
So, imagine my disappointment when I moved to Europe and lost access to the CW website and app.
Luckily, that wasn’t the end of binging my favorite fantasy dramas.
I discovered a workaround: ExpressVPN, the best VPN for CW TV.
ExpressVPN makes it easy to stream The CW on any compatible device in HD and/or 4K.
You can even watch Riverdale on your Xbox, thanks to the VPN provider’s SmartDNS feature!
That’s only the beginning. Keep reading for more info (spoilers ahead)!
Top 3 VPNs for CW TV
PrivateVPN is the only VPN here with free private dynamic servers (“Dedicated IPs”). This means watching CW TV worldwide is easy, as you get a new, unused IP every time you connect to its US server(s). On top of that, PrivateVPN is fast enough to stream in HD and 4K! You’ll also enjoy VPN access on all CW devices.
ExpressVPN has several reliable US servers for unblocking the CW website and/or app! It was also the fastest VPN on my list, allowing me to stream my favorite CW shows on any device in HD and/or 4K, including my LG Smart TV (via browser), thanks to its SmartDNS feature!
NordVPN is one of two VPNs on my list with a Dedicated US IP add-on. This lets CW fans access the website and/or app from a private, permanent US IP, eliminating the risk of it getting blacklisted due to too many users sharing it. You’ll also get super-fast speeds, 1,970+ US servers, and support for all devices!
Finding the most reliable VPN for CW TV isn’t as easy as it sounds.
You need a VPN with US servers, fast streaming speeds, and support for your preferred CW TV devices.
Don’t worry, though.
I took on the challenge and came out victorious, with five worthy VPNs that will unblock The CW worldwide.

ExpressVPN – Stream The CW in HD & 4K Worldwide – No Buffering!
ExpressVPN | |
---|---|
Number of US Servers? | 24 |
Best Server for CW TV? | Los Angeles 3, New York 1, and Dallas |
Speed Drop? | 13.93 Mbps |
ExpressVPN tops my list of the most dependable VPNs for CW TV, thanks to its myriad of features for seamless streaming.
Let’s start with speed.
Not only is ExpressVPN lightning-fast, but it scored first in my speed tests!
Note that I’m in Slovakia and had a base speed of 90.89 Mbps before my tests.
When I tested several ExpressVPN US servers, they all gave me phenomenal results.
The best was the USA – New York server, with a speed drop of just 13.93 Mbps.
Considering how far I am from the US, that’s super impressive!
In fact, most of the VPNs on my list performed great in my speed tests.
Surfshark, NordVPN, and PrivateVPN were all super-close in placement, with Surfshark placing just below ExpressVPN (14.67 Mbps speed drop).
Of course, that still means ExpressVPN soared above the rest.
So, if you want to watch your favorite CW shows in HD and/or 4K, the VPN provider has you covered.
And the best part is, you can binge CW content on any compatible device, as ExpressVPN supports them all!
Considering how addicting The Flash and All American are, this is good news.
You can watch your favorite characters on your PC, smartphone, or even Smart TV!
Or, if you want to watch Nancy Drew on your Xbox via the CW TV app, you can do so with ExpressVPN’s MediaStreamer feature.
This lets you unblock The CW on devices that don’t support VPNs (I use it on my LG Smart TV).
Only one other VPN on my list has a reliable SmartDNS feature for CW TV (Surfshark), giving ExpressVPN a unique edge.
All in all, ExpressVPN lets you watch CW TV on PC, mobile, Xbox, Smart TVs, and even Roku and Chromecast (via its dedicated router app).
Now for some mixed news.
ExpressVPN has the second-smallest number of US servers – 24 of them.
And if you consider PrivateVPN’s unlimited US Dedicated IPs, you might even push ExpressVPN to the bottom.
But there’s something to consider.
With fewer servers, it’s easier to find a working one for CW TV.
I had the best luck with Los Angeles 3, New York, and Dallas.
So, this disadvantage is less significant.
Really, you might consider it a blessing; there’s less trial and error in unblocking CW TV with ExpressVPN!
In fact, PrivateVPN and Surfshark are the only other VPNs that unblocked The CW without much trial and error – and both have a caveat (discussed in their respective reviews).
But, unfortunately, there’s no positive spin to the next downside.
ExpressVPN doesn’t offer a Dedicated IP add-on or alternative feature.
It’s the only VPN on my list without anything of the like (though Surfshark’s static servers are mostly irrelevant).
Still, this is ExpressVPN’s only major disadvantage, and considering how easy it is to unblock The CW with the VPN, it’s easy to overlook.
Plus, you can use ExpressVPN to unblock other streaming services, too!
This includes Netflix, Disney Plus, BBC iPlayer, and Hulu (the latter offers CW content with its live TV package).
And while ExpressVPN is expensive, it’s worth the price.
But if you throw in this HUGE discount, you’ll definitely save lots!
Pros
- Reliably unblocks CW TV worldwide
- 4K/HD streaming speeds
- 24 US servers for streaming CW TV
- Compatible with all CW devices, including PC, mobile, Smart TVs, Xbox, Roku, and Chromecast
- MediaStreamer for devices that don’t support VPNs
- BONUS: unblocks other streaming services like Netflix, Disney Plus, and Hulu
Cons
- No Dedicated IP add-on
PrivateVPN – Free Private Dynamic Servers for 24/7 CW TV Access
PrivateVPN | |
---|---|
Number of US Servers? | 12+ (and unlimited US Dedicated IPs) |
Best Server for CW TV? | Any US Dedicated IP server |
Speed Drop? | 15.03 Mbps |
PrivateVPN almost placed first.
The only thing that held it back was its speed test performance – and even that was spectacular!
Specifically, it placed fourth in my speed tests.
Don’t let that fool you.
As I said in my ExpressVPN review, PrivateVPN was neck-to-neck with Surfshark and NordVPN.
In fact, take a look at this table to gauge just how close they were:
Base Speed: 90.89 Mbps | |
---|---|
VPN Provider: | Speed Drop: |
ExpressVPN | 13.93 Mbps |
PrivateVPN | 15.03 Mbps |
NordVPN | 14.86 Mbps |
Surfshark | 14.67 Mbps |
CyberGhost | 24.43 Mbps |
So, with a mere 15.03 Mbps drop, PrivateVPN is an excellent choice for watching CW TV in HD and 4K.
But it’s not as fast as ExpressVPN, which is the first reason it places second.
There is something PrivateVPN has that no other VPN on my list does, though: free private dynamic servers (“Dedicated IPs”).
There are two US Dedicated IP servers – one in Los Angeles and one in New York.
This means you never connect to the same IP.
For some activities, an ever-changing IP is cumbersome.
But it’s super effective for binging Riverdale (etc.) on CW TV.
It makes sense!
You connect to a brand new, unused server – so The CW can’t associate your IP with well-known VPN IPs and blacklist it.
But to confirm, I tried both US Dedicated IP servers with The CW website and app.
Every connection was instant!
I was streaming Archie and Betty in Europe in seconds flat.
This makes PrivateVPN another unique case regarding US server count.
On paper, it has the smallest number of US servers on my list (12+).
But when you throw in its Dedicated IPs, you pretty much have unlimited US servers for streaming The CW!
Though, it’s worth mentioning that most of PrivateVPN’s normal US servers unblock CW TV, too.
The only ones I struggled with were Denver and Seattle.
Moving on, let’s discuss the second reason PrivateVPN didn’t place first.
While it supports every CW TV device – including PC, mobile, Smart TVs, Xbox, Roku, and more – it doesn’t have a SmartDNS feature.
This means the only way to watch Riverdale on a device that doesn’t support VPNs is through PrivateVPN’s router setup (or a hotspot connection).
Considering the other VPNs on my list at least offer the feature, this is a notable setback.
On the bright side, you can at least use PrivateVPN to watch other streaming services, like Hulu, Netflix, and BBC iPlayer!
Plus, PrivateVPN is super affordable.
And even more so with these discounts!
Pros
- Reliably unblocks CW TV worldwide
- 4K/HD streaming speeds
- 12+ US servers for unlimited CW TV access
- Unlimited US Dedicated (dynamic) IP servers
- Compatible with all CW devices, including PC, mobile, Smart TVs, Xbox, Roku, and Chromecast
- BONUS: unblocks other streaming services like Hulu, Netflix, and BBC iPlayer
Cons
- No SmartDNS feature
- Slower than ExpressVPN, Surfshark, and NordVPN (albeit barely)
NordVPN – Fast Speeds & Dedicated US IP for Private CW TV Streaming
NordVPN | |
---|---|
Number of US Servers? | 1970+ |
Best Server for CW TV? | New York, Miami, or Buffalo servers |
Speed Drop? | 14.86 Mbps |
NordVPN boasts something that sets it apart from most VPNs on my list: a Dedicated IP.
This is similar to what PrivateVPN offers, though it’s an unshared, static IP instead of an unshared dynamic IP.
You also only get one permanent server instead of several dynamic servers.
And while PrivateVPN offers its servers for free, NordVPN charges extra.
But in the case of streaming CW TV with the same reliable server anytime you want, the extra cost might be worth it!
Specifically, it’s $70(+)/year on top of your normal subscription.
That’s pretty steep, I know.
You also can’t choose a shorter (or longer) term.
So, if you like the idea of a Dedicated IP but don’t want to fork over so much, CyberGhost is another consideration.
It’s far cheaper and has more flexible plans.
I’ll discuss that more in CyberGhost’s respective review.
In the meantime, there are more reasons NordVPN is third (vs. fourth or fifth).
First, it scored third on my speed tests.
As mentioned, it rode Surfshark’s coattails and pushed past PrivateVPN and CyberGhost.
All in all, it had a speed drop of 14.86 Mbps.
That’s more than fast enough to enjoy Nancy Drew in HD and 4K!
As for unblocking CW TV, NordVPN has the most US servers on my list (1,970+).
Of course, there’s a caveat: not every server unblocks The CW.
On the bright side, out of the 20+ US servers I tested, 11 successfully granted me access to the streaming platform.
I recommend servers in New York, Miami, and/or Buffalo.
Now let’s discuss device compatibility.
NordVPN is another VPN that supports every CW TV device, including Xbox and Smart TVs, via its SmartDNS feature.
And though NordVPN doesn’t explicitly say its SmartDNS feature unblocks CW TV, I tested it with my LG Smart TV’s web browser, and it worked!
But the excitement was short-lived.
When I went to finish binging Riverdale the next day, it stopped working.
Since then, I’ve tried between 5 and 10 times and had success less than half the time.
For this reason, I can’t recommend NordVPN’s SmartDNS feature as a reliable method for unblocking CW TV on devices that don’t support VPNs.
I had to use my TV’s web browser, as there’s no app for LG TVs.
Luckily, NordVPN still supports those devices via its router setup (along with Roku).
And remember, if you want a reliable SmartDNS, ExpressVPN’s MediaStreamer is great!
Moving on, NordVPN also supports all major streaming platforms, including Netflix, BBC iPlayer, and Hulu – so if you want to watch The CW on Hulu, NordVPN will get the job done!
It’s also a very affordable VPN service, especially compared to ExpressVPN:
But if you want to save EVEN MORE, click here!
Pros
- Reliably unblocks CW TV worldwide
- 4K/HD streaming speeds
- 1970+ US servers for unlimited CW TV access
- Dedicated IP add-on
- Compatible with all CW devices, including PC, mobile, Smart TVs, Xbox, Roku, and Chromecast
- SmartDNS feature sometimes unblocks CW
- BONUS: unblocks other streaming services like Hulu, Netflix, and BBC iPlayer
Cons
- Dedicated IP is expensive and inflexible
- SmartDNS isn’t reliable
Surfshark – SmartDNS Feature for Streaming The CW on Smart TVs
SurfShark | |
---|---|
Number of US Servers? | 600+ |
Best Server for CW TV? | Miami (subject to change) |
Speed Drop? | 14.67 Mbps |
Surfshark is my fourth entry, with its reliable SmartDNS feature, unlimited simultaneous connections, and super-fast speeds.
One thing at a time, though.
First, as mentioned earlier, Surfshark is the only VPN on my list besides ExpressVPN with a reliable SmartDNS feature.
I used it to watch Riverdale on my LG Smart TV’s web browser, and it worked flawlessly every time.
You’re not limited to Smart TVs, either.
You can use Surfshark’s SmartDNS feature to watch CW shows on your Xbox or (almost) any device that doesn’t support VPNs.
As for other devices, Surfshark supports them all!
You can use the VPN to watch The CW on your PC, smartphone, and even Roku.
Moving on, Surfshark is the only VPN on my list to offer unlimited simultaneous connections.
This means you and your friends can have a watch party and use the same Surfshark account to access CW TV outside the US!
To put such generosity in perspective, the closest VPN to Surfshark’s unlimited connections limit is PrivateVPN, with 10 simultaneous connections.
And then there’s speed.
As you already know, Surfshark placed second in my speed tests.
It fell shortly behind ExpressVPN, with a drop of 14.67 Mbps.
Considering how far I am from the US, that’s extremely impressive!
And while NordVPN and PrivateVPN weren’t far behind, every Mbps matters when watching The Flash in HD and 4K.
Now let’s discuss the bad news – the reasons Surfshark doesn’t place higher.
First, it has 600+ US servers. That’s the third-highest number on my list.
Sounds like good news, right?
Well, it is.
But it’s also not.
It’s good because there are many servers to try if one isn’t working.
And considering how finicky CW TV is, this is a valuable advantage.
But it’s also bad because I had less luck with Surfshark’s US servers than with my top three VPNs.
I tried unblocking The CW with most cities in the Surfshark app.
Only Los Angeles and Miami were successful.
And when I went back to take screenshots, it took several tries to get a Miami server that worked, and I couldn’t get LA working at all.
This isn’t a deal-breaker for me, as some trial and error is expected with CW TV.
But consider that Surfshark requires more trial and error than the top three VPNs on my list.
In fact, you’re better off using its SmartDNS feature if you can.
The other downside to Surfshark is that it doesn’t have a Dedicated IP add-on.
You will get static servers, but they’re not suitable for unblocking CW TV.
On the bright side, Surfshark is far more skilled at unblocking other streaming services, including Netflix, Hulu, Disney Plus, and BBC iPlayer.
And it’s super affordable!
Plus, with this MAJOR discount, you’ll save tons!
Pros
- Mostly unblocks CW TV worldwide
- 4K/HD streaming speeds
- 600+ US servers for unlimited CW TV access
- Compatible with all CW devices, including PC, mobile, Smart TVs, Xbox, Roku, and Chromecast
- SmartDNS feature unblocks CW
- BONUS: unblocks other streaming services like Hulu, Netflix, and BBC iPlayer
Cons
- Unblocking CW TV requires more trial and error than top three VPNs
- No Dedicated IP add-on
CyberGhost – Giant US Server Network for Unlimited CW TV Access
CyberGhost | |
---|---|
Number of US Servers? | 1750+ |
Best Server for CW TV? | No recommended server (trial and error) |
Speed Drop? | 24.43 Mbps |
Last on my list is CyberGhost!
As far as reliable VPNs for CW TV go, CyberGhost is a worthy option.
But there’s also a reason it’s last.
I’ll lead with that.
It sounds good at first – CyberGhost has the second-biggest US server selection on my list, with 1,750+ US servers.
You can’t select individual servers like with NordVPN, but you can choose from numerous US cities.
The problem is that CyberGhost requires more trial and error than any other VPN on my list.
That’s not to say I didn’t have luck watching The CW!
But there was no pattern, no specific city that gave more luck than others.
The last city that gave me access was Seattle.
Before that, Chicago.
And before Chicago, Los Angeles.
So my caveat with CyberGhost is that it requires a lot of trial and error to unblock CW TV, and there’s no recommended city/server to get the job done.
However, note that I tested dozens of VPNs for this article, and the five listed are the only ones that gave me CW access more than once (if even that).
Plus, CyberGhost has a redeeming feature.
Like NordVPN, it has a Dedicated IP add-on.
But unlike NordVPN, it’s affordable, with flexible subscription terms.
The starting price is $5/month (cheaper than NordVPN), though you can save up to 25% on a 3-year plan.
CyberGhost transforms into a very reliable VPN for CW TV if you’re willing to spend the extra money.
You’ll have a private, permanent US address for the streaming platform whenever you want!
The Dedicated IP helps with something else, too.
Speed.
CyberGhost placed last in my speed tests, with a drop of 24.43 Mbps.
Considering PrivateVPN was fourth with a drop of 15.03 Mbps, that’s colossal.
Luckily, your speeds will improve with an unshared IP, even slightly.
Though, CyberGhost will still let you stream Riverdale in HD and 4K regardless!
Now let’s discuss device compatibility.
CyberGhost supports all CW devices, from PC and smartphones to Smart TVs and Roku.
However, its SmartDNS feature doesn’t unblock CW TV, so you’re stuck with the router setup (or a hotspot connection) if you want to watch your favorite CW shows on the big screen.
On the bright side, CyberGhost is great at unblocking other streaming services!
It even has dedicated servers for Netflix, Hulu, BBC iPlayer, and more.
Plus, you can get super savings on long-term plans:
Want to add to your super savings?
Pros
- Unblocks CW TV worldwide (trial and error necessary)
- 4K/HD streaming speeds
- 1750+ US servers for unlimited CW TV access
- Affordable Dedicated IP add-on
- Compatible with all CW devices, including PC, mobile, Smart TVs, Xbox, Roku, and Chromecast
- BONUS: unblocks other streaming services like Hulu, Netflix, and BBC iPlayer
Cons
- Speeds slower than other VPNs on this list
- Unblocking CW TV requires a lot of trial and error, with no city having more success than another
- SmartDNS doesn’t unblock CW TV
How to Find the Best VPN for CW TV?
If you’re willing and ready to go on a longer journey – perhaps to hand-pick your favorite VPN for CW TV – this section will help!
Saddle in and get ready to learn everything you need to know.
Stop Ogling at Nancy’s Detective Skills With an Unreliable VPN! (My VPN Checklist)
Have a look at my in-depth checklist instead!
It’ll walk you through every feature your CW TV VPN should have, from the most obvious features to ones you wouldn’t have considered otherwise.
Let’s hop to it!
Unblocks the CW Website & App
I did say I included obvious features! So, yes, your VPN needs to unblock the CW website and app.
But that’s not as easy as it sounds.
Some VPNs only unblock one or the other, while others don’t unblock either.
This is why it’s necessary to test your VPN before committing.
Luckily, every VPN on this list has a money-back guarantee – so you can test them risk-free to ensure unwavering access to The CW.
But if you’re looking at other VPNs as well, here are the steps you should follow:
- Find a VPN with US servers (I’ll talk more about this in a minute).
- Verify your VPN offers a money-back guarantee – preferably 30 days or more.
- Buy a subscription.
- Test your VPN with the CW TV app and If possible, use numerous US servers and mark the ones that work the best.Do this for at least 1-2 weeks to ensure your VPN reliably unblocks The CW (vs. on/off access).
- If your VPN doesn’t meet your expectations, ask for a refund before the money-back guarantee expires.
Offers HD and/or 4K Streaming Speeds
CW TV lets you stream in HD and 4K on applicable devices.
The last thing you want is a VPN that diminishes the quality of your stream or causes buffering!
You can test your VPN’s speeds the same way you can test its access to The CW: using its money-back guarantee.
Follow the same steps as above, except this time, perform speed tests.
Then, watch your favorite CW shows and pay attention to any stutters, skips, or buffering.
Ask for a refund if you’re unsatisfied!
Has Reliable US Servers
The CW is a US-based TV network – and so is its streaming app and website.
This means if you want uninterrupted CW binge sessions, you need a VPN with US servers.
As for how many US servers you should look for… there are a couple of things to consider.
If your VPN only offers a handful of US servers, but they all work reliably, you don’t need more.
In fact, that’s the best-case scenario, as it eliminates trial and error.
However, if your VPN isn’t always reliable at unblocking the CW, more US servers mean more options for a potential fix.
Yet another reason to test your VPN (and its US servers) with CW TV before committing.
Is Compatible With Your CW TV Devices
The CW TV app is available for free for Roku, VIZIO, LG, Apple TV, Xbox, Fire TV, Android TV, iOS, and Android devices.
Meanwhile, The CW website is available via any web browser.
There’s also a makeshift CW app for Windows.
So, whatever device you want to watch your favorite CW shows on, ensure your VPN supports it.
Look for SmartDNS features, as well, as they make watching CW TV on your Xbox or Smart TV a lot easier.
BONUS: Offers a Dedicated IP Add-On
Lastly, a bonus feature to consider is a Dedicated IP in the US.
With a Dedicated IP, you’ll have access to a permanent, unshared US IP.
This is a more reliable method for accessing CW TV, as the website and app are unlikely to flag your IP as belonging to a VPN since no one else is using it!
Keep in mind that these features usually cost extra.
However, there are alternatives, like PrivateVPN, which offers free dynamic dedicated IPs (unshared, but changing).
Will a Free VPN Unblock the CW From Outside the US?
I couldn’t find any free VPNs that unblock The CW.
I tested several freemium options with US servers, but none gained even temporary access to the streaming site/app.
This isn’t a surprise, as free VPNs are unreliable at bypassing geo-restrictions.
Though, even if a free VPN were to unblock CW TV, its lackluster speeds would likely get in the way of buffer-free HD/4K streaming.
Instead, stick to a premium VPN.
After all, it’s not like you need the money to stream The CW (since the app is free).
But if you’re looking to save BIG, don’t forget to grab my ExpressVPN discount!
How to Watch the CW With a VPN on PC? (Windows CW App)
If you prefer HD/4K quality and a user-friendly interface, you’ll prefer the CW App for Windows.
Here’s how to use it with a VPN:
- Choose one of my recommended VPNs with US servers (or a VPN you found after thorough research) and purchase a subscription. Here’s a refresher of how many US servers each VPN on my list offers:
VPN Provider: | US Servers: |
---|---|
ExpressVPN | 24 US servers |
PrivateVPN | 12+ US servers |
NordVPN | 1970+ US servers |
Surfshark | 600+ US servers |
CyberGhost | 1753+ US servers |
- Download and install the VPN app on your Windows device.
- Open the VPN app and sign in to your account.
- Connect to a US server.
- Open your browser and check for IP, DNS, and WebRTC leaks.
- Open your Windows search bar and type “CW app.”
- Download and install the CW app, then open it.
- If prompted to create an account, do so. (I was never asked to create an account.)
- Stream CW anytime, anywhere!
How to Watch the CW TV App With a VPN on Android?
I used my Android phone for this example.
However, the steps are almost identical for watching the CW TV app on iOS as well.
Here we go:
- Choose one of my recommended VPNs with US servers and a user-friendly Android app (I recommend Surfshark) and purchase a subscription.
- Download and install the VPN app on your Android device.
- Open the VPN app and sign in to your account.
- Open the server list and find a US server. Tap it to connect.
- Open your mobile browser and check for IP, DNS, and WebRTC leaks.
- Open the Google Play Store (etc.) and search for the CW app.
- Download and install it. Then, open it and accept the ToS.
- Stream CW TV to your heart’s content!
What Shows Are on the CW?
The CW is always adding and removing shows from its apps and website.
At the time of writing, some of the shows you can binge on the CW app include:
- Riverdale
- All American
- Beauty and the Beast
- Superman & Lois
- Legacies
- All American: Homecoming
- Naomi
- The Flash
- Nancy Drew
- Kung Fu
- Walker
- Charmed
- Dynasty
- Whose Line
- DC’s Stargirl
- Roswell, New Mexico
- In the Dark
- DC’s Legends of Tomorrow
- And more!
CW TV Not Working With a VPN? (Troubleshooting)
The CW app and website are extremely finicky.
If your VPN isn’t working with either, the first thing you should try is switching US servers.
Sometimes, this is the only fix you need.
But if that doesn’t work, cycle through the following tips:
- Message your VPN provider’s support team and ask for a recommended server. This won’t always be a working recommendation, but it’s worth asking.
- Switch VPN protocols. For example, if you’re using OpenVPN UDP, switch to WireGuard.
- Restart all of your devices, including your router, the device you’re using to watch CW TV, and your VPN.
- Ensure everything is up-to-date.
- Try accessing the CW app on a different For example, if your PC isn’t giving you access, try your phone.
If you’re still struggling, you might need to find a new VPN provider.
Remember, test the service before you commit!
FAQ
Is the CW Free to Watch?
The CW lets viewers watch select episodes and seasons via the CW app completely free of charge.
However, the shows constantly change, so ensure you watch your favorites before they’re removed!
You can also watch The CW (TV network) for free with a reliable TV antenna or OTA TV.
Additionally, CW content is available via other streaming services, like Hulu.
However, these are not free and usually require a fee on top of the base subscription (for example, for live TV).
Can I Use the CW App From Outside the US?
You can’t watch CW outside US.
If you try accessing the CW app from outside the US, you’ll get an error message.
The PC app displays a “geoBlocked” error, and the website doesn’t load properly.
Meanwhile, the mobile app displays a standard error message.
Thus, to use the CW app from outside the US, you’ll need a reliable VPN with US servers that can bypass The CW’s geo-restrictions.
I recommend ExpressVPN and its Los Angeles 3 server.
What VPN Works With the CW?
ExpressVPN is the best VPN to watch CW.
Use its Los Angeles 3, New York 1, or Dallas servers.
Other VPNs also work, like PrivateVPN, with its US Dedicated IP servers, and NordVPN, with its New York, Miami, and Buffalo servers.
However, I recommend ExpressVPN, as it has the fastest streaming speeds and most reliable access to CW TV.
How Do I Get the CW App With a VPN?
You can get The CW app by connecting to a US VPN server using a reliable VPN, like ExpressVPN.
Just connect to your VPN on the device you want to stream CW TV with.
Then, search for the app in the corresponding app store.
After you download and install it, start watching your favorite CW shows!
What Countries Is the CW App Available In?
The CW app is only available in the US.
So, if you try accessing the app from another country, you’ll get an error message.
Luckily, you can use a (reliable) VPN to bypass The CW’s geolocation blocks.
Just ensure your VPN has US servers!
Conclusion
At this point, you should already be binging your favorite CW Network shows using your favorite VPN!
I still recommend ExpressVPN, thanks to its reliable CW TV US servers, lightning-fast streaming speeds for 4K viewing, and widespread device compatibility (including SmartDNS)!
But at the end of the day, any VPN on my list will do the trick.
Whatever you decide, don’t wait another minute to catch up on Riverdale.
