No ban on Discord has been announced in Egypt. When the media regulator blocked Roblox in February 2026, its decision didn’t mention Discord.

Discord was blocked on the WE and Vodafone networks for about two days, on 11 and 12 January 2026. The authorities never acknowledged it or gave a reason. An investigation by Al Manassa and Masaar found connections cut based on Discord’s name; Al Manassa noted that it came after an activist group on Discord launched an online poll calling for the president’s removal.
