The official status

Roblox in Russia

Roskomnadzor blocked Roblox on 3 December 2025, citing “extremist” material, “LGBT propaganda” and risks to children, including sexual harassment in game chats.

Later that month Roblox said it would comply with Russian law and was willing to switch off chat for Russian users for a while. On 10 June 2026 the digital development ministry said Roblox had complied and was available again across Russia, and Roblox confirmed the next day that access was restored.

Roblox agreed to restrict games by age group and to fight harmful content. Whether chat is still switched off for Russian users isn’t clear.
